Yeah but the difference between Croatian, Serbian & Macedonian is the same as the difference between English, Scottish, Irish & American so surely they don't count. The Scottish accent cannot be understood by most people who speak average english for example but it's still english.

Before 90ties, BCMS languages group (Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin) were just simple Serbo-Croatian, which is the most precise and common name even today for all linguists, yes true - those are the dialects of the basic Serbo-Croatian - similar to your example of English. Although, Slovenian is much different, closer to mideuropean slavic languages like Czech or Polish and Macedonian is more close to Bulgarian than to Serbo-Croatian.

I can handle Russian, Mandarin and some Italian. Learning Mandarin is a process which lasts. For verbal communication is easier but reading and especially writing are a tough jobs. The same applies for the Russian grammar.

Can someone enlighten me on what do they actually spying on?
Both counties are in partnership now thru NATO, economically not doing well lately neither of them, with all internet hacks and satellite snaps.. wtf is this all about? Maybe intentional public attention divert from BP oil spill, if I remember well - this started in media just after Medvedev and Obama talks ended, a few weeks ago. So how much is this blockbuster making so far at the box offices?

Oh please, carry on with all vocabulary righteousness.. i just had a thought or two on the subject.
