can't comment on their live sets, but the hard hands mix 'not forgotten' still sounds brilliant to me - i've never tired of it and it stands up against anything when you hear it out. 'more than i know' is excellent too. 'difference' by djum djum is another classic and i still like their mix of 'intoxication'.

wicked track - feeling the og and david alvarado mix on that too.
mine today is this rediculously ott bit of full on goa trance. i thought all this stuff was total shit when it came out - especially as i was so into the 80's goa sound. something about this one i really like though - some epic changes and transitions. i understand all the arguments about it being too fast, un-funky, white and stupid, but it still sounds ace.

Good on ya Redonk, that's pretty impressive.
I can speak Japanese, although I sound like a brain damaged 5 year old with a penchant for profanity when I do it. I can read it better than speak it, which was the opposite of most of my expat mates when I lived there. I took some classes in school and lived in Fukuoka after I finished school......Honestly, living in the country accelerates your learning so much more than doing it in the classroom. You do have to be willing to make a fool of yourself and maybe have people giggle at you when you make mistakes. Usually people are generally extremely appreciative that you are making the effort. Except in the US and UK, where people act like all the world should be native fluent.
I can generally read Spanish pretty well, although I can't understand a word said to me when spoken, it's just way too rapid-fire for me. I've been trying to learn German for a laugh, but the article der die das and genitive accusative dative malarkey can be a headache.
It's crazy how similar Dutch and German are though. Through the German I know, I've been able to passably figure out quite a bit of written Dutch. Pretty neat.
i think the word dutch comes from deutsche, doesn't it? either way it's definitely a germanic language. i'd imagine it's probably similar to how if you learn russian then all the other slavic languages would come pretty easily. or how after getting to grips with italian, spanish and french aren't so hard.
apparently, kids at school in england these days are starting to learn chinese - which i think is a very good idea, seeing as they will be running the world soon.

I was thinking about enrolling my daughter in a Spanish Nursery. She is already learning English at home with me, and her brain is like sponge so might as well get her learning another language as she will pick it up for sure. very good idea ben. we start languages far too late in this country. i sometimes speak italian to my kids all morning - our boy pretty much ignores me, but our girl gets into it and her accent is great. that's something that you will never pick up later on in life. my parents italian accent is dreadful - they were in their late 20's wen we went there and far too old to get to grips with it. my Italian is fluent but I speak it in a pretty strong English accent, I think acquiring the accent only comes if you live in the country for quite a long time. longest Ive spent in Italy at one time is about 10 months and that was 20 years ago ive noticed that over the years I stopped trying to speak like a native, if youve seen interviews with David Platt in Italian thats kind of how I speak as well, sounds quite funny but he is more or less fluent, he learned it quickly unlike Gazza who could barely say hello the whole year he spent at Lazio.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4nc__o6Duo
he's pretty good - my folks never got passed the stanlio e ollio stage.
my accent is nothing like as good as it was when i was a kid - i've been told it's a weird piemontese / south london hybrid nowadays

Italian is supposed to be the closest language to Spanish - if your Italian's not too rusty, it should be a goer. I can get by in French and German, plus British Sign Language.
my italian is still pretty good and i've always made an effort when i'm in spain or a spanish speaking country to try and communicate without using english.
my spanish is pretty rubbish - a few bassic words mixed with italian words with an 's' on the end - i don't mind making a fool of myself though - it's the only way to learn.
