You seem shocked that it's a massive snooze fest Micky. What else did you expect?

You have to remember that the English are better than everybody else. And even if it's not actually true, we all still believe it, so we ain't changing for nobody.

Hands down one of the most boring, WAY overrated DJs out there. I still would, though.

horses / courses innit. I've not heard it but if you like it one pace and groovy she's your girl, if you want a bit more drama and excitment then best look elsewhere

Ditto. Mine came yesterday in the post. Will play it in the next couple days and come back with my opinion.

Gonna cancel my FabricLive subscription today as that Buraka Som Sistema next month is NOT my music at all and I would definitely hate it and have to sell it 2nd-hand. Might re-sign up before February for the D n B mix dBridge is putting out then though....

Sticking a Goblin track on a mix is a bit of a Trendy Musicâ„¢ fail in 2009 to be honest.

The blurb on the fabric website made it sound loads better than it was. Wish I hadn't taken it out of the cellophane now.

yeah its not that great...

it just chugs along.. doens't really go anywhere and doesn't have any stand out moments.. i've listened to it quite a few times over the past couple of weeks and still can't really recall any great moments from it.

some nice quirky sounds pop up every so often, but its all a bit one dimensional.

Some of these comments make me think I'll deffo like it - "like the Louderbach podcast", "groovy".

If it's anything like Troy's Minus mix (Nothing Much, Somthing More) or like Magda's She's a Dancing Machine mix, I'll probably like it.

The Louderbach podcast is one of the best things I've heard in years. Don't mind this Magda CD but it's not in the same league as the Louderbach podcast.

mine was actually scratched, wouldn't play more than 2 minutes.

but I'm sure the fine folks at fabric will sort that out, as long as I return the double one I got some months ago. Smile

not a fan of this at all.... very dull, nothing seemed to happen with the mix

And tonight something equally epoch-making is taking place. See? They're applauding the DJ. Not the music, not the musician, not the creator, but the medium. This is it. The birth of rave culture. The beatification of the beat. The dance age. This is the moment when even the white man starts dancing. Welcome to Manchester. - Steve Coogan as Tony Wilson in 24Hr Party People

I was just about to jump in with the same comment! For all the love Fabric gets for supporting underground music, their selections for the mix series are pretty lame and tame. I mean, Magda, come on? Why be such as fashion victim fail?

Dave Mothersole would turn in a mix that would have you coming back to years down the road, but a Magda mix I don't even want to take the cellophane off because I know I can get a few more dollars for it in new condition at a used cd shop.

wouldn't they charge more and have cheaper cases than those metal ones if they did it for the money?

I'm sure they are making some money of the cds, especially in the shops, but I think they are mostly marketing the club.
