not bitter. i think he was/is just a bit bemused really.... He was/is slower than a broken carthorse and costing us £50 odd grand a week so they let him go.

Not zola's kind of player and mcleish has got the best out of him so fair do's. He'll be out for two months witha fukd hamstring soon tho..

If he'd come even close to justifying his money then someone else would have been let go. Half a dozen goals in 40 odd games over 2 and a half seasons? Wasn't even like he set the place alight in his previous spell either!

Fair play to the fella if he's just remembered how get ahead of the ball again but don't go knocking a club that you contributed fuck all to. There are bigger cunts around though.

Aye - don't want to get all doom and gloom about it but we're going to struggle to get out of this on current form.

Good to see Dyer's over his injury problems...

Next six games are massive for the club - Portsmouth away, Blackburn and Wolves at home, Burnley away, Birmingham and Hull at home.

10+ points from that lot, with a couple of players returning from injury, would go some way to sorting the season out.

aye.. the eighteen months have certainly aged GFZ.

Was at villa yesterday... a good point..at least the team played like they gave a fuck.

Given we've got no cole or franco or hines i.e. no strikers, until maybe mid feb, these next six games suddenly dont look so easy...

however, im going for 12- 15 point spread!

Worked out that our entire team transfer cost there yesterday added up to just over what villa paid for Ashley Young Confused

I read that Cole could be back for the weekend and should be back for the game after that. But then I guess I hadn't banked on the inevitability of him doing a hamstring 15 minutes into his return - silly me...

I was impressed with the performance against Villa - they were always going to create a chance or two but overall I thought West Ham looked solid and I liked the fact that GFZ's substitutions made us more of a threat in the second half - not that the bench gave him much choice.

10 points from those six games would be good, 12 great and 15 would be top four form Laughing

Gutted. I wasn't really arsed about West Ham until those two cunts took over. Would love to see Sullivan crying into his wank rag come the end of the season.

Game just finished - as comfortable a win (over one of the Premiership's form teams) as we've had for a long, long while.

No coincidence that it was probably the strongest starting XI we've had on the park in weeks - squad is paper thin though, even with the new boys - keep them all fit and we'll stay up. Just.

Hmmmmm - they were all talk of loyalty and 'we don't sack managers' when they arrived but Goldivan can't be far off having enough of it too. Critical game at home after a half decent run and once again we start the game like it's a fucking exhibition match.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool can be pretty much written off - got to win the home games against Wolves, Stoke, Sunderland & Wigan.

Neutral

We all have our favourite players, our heroes. Older fans can remember players like Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters - the cornerstone of England's 1966 World Cup win. I know rival teams mock us West Ham fans for saying that, but one was the captain, another scored a hat-trick, the other scored the fourth. That sounds like a claret and blue contribution to me.

Then there was Sir Trevor Brooking, Billy Bonds, Alan Taylor, Bryan 'Pop' Robson, Phil Parkes, Alvin Martin and Ray Stewart. We didn't win much but there was always a quality and a style. Another hero to watch: a midfield playmaker, a little wizard on the wing, a goalscorer.

Some nice stuff in that little piece. Sounds like Sullivan wants to put a 1966 DVD out. Bad Grin
